My Dear Black Sisters,
Not to make this into a black or white issue, but white women have been performing oral sex for ages, but never have they ,in my opinion, made a sexual act ever the more degrading as some black women are now doing. Some of "us" make me so ashamed to be a black woman, especially since we're usually always stereotyped enough as it is because of the dumb, stupid shit that a select few in our community do. You know what I mean.
I recently saw this "ad" online on someone's fan page and it just simply made me feel so fucking ashamed as a black woman.
"ATTENTION: Any SINGLE REAL MEN who want a woman that can cook homemade biscuits & gravy from scratch w/ ya choice of meat w/ mashed potatoes, butt naked except for an apron & a pair of 5" stilettos showing my pedicured feet, who's a HEAD HUNTER that can hum the National Anthem on ya balls please "like" this & hit my inbox! - Stillshining Haywood"
Is this what we're doing now? Advertising our oral sex skills just to pull men. This, to me, just SCREAMS desperation. Am I wrong to judge her, being that I'm just as much of a sexual woman as her or any other - the only difference being is that I wouldn't go around posting such pathetic "ads" as this one? I still believe in there being a time and place for everything. Is this what we're doing now, advertising oral sex skills as a prerequisite to pull in men? I mean, really?! Wow.
I'm beginning to feel like all of this oral sex that so many of our young black women are parading around and holding a banner of pride for is the start of the diminish of the black woman. I mean, I'm hearing and seeing more and more about how our black girls and women LOVE to perform this sex act. I can't believe it! I mean, this is something that used to be between a woman and her man, nowadays, it's something that 's being glorified with no tact at all whatsoever and this is seemingly the "woman" of choice. I never thought that I'd see the day...smh
I'm a young, vibrant and sexual woman, but I can't see myself hopping from page to page online, posting such a despicable "ad" as this one. Some may say that that's hypocritical and/or contradictory of me, but I see it as a very fine line between tact and common sense. I still believe in there being a time and place for everything. This is heartbreaking.
The whore is the new face of the black woman? Wow. This is what the babies have to look forward to? Wow. This is what our sons have to look forward to? Wow. This is what so many of our black Queens rallied, fought, raised so much hell over and died for? Wow. I'm sure that our ancestors and the women whom fought so hard through their blood, sweat and tears are rolling over in their graves right now as our young women are allowing themselves to be dogged out like this. Please don't be mislead, contrary to popular belief, this is nothing to be proud of. Are you really proud to kiss your babies and your mother with that mouth? Wow. More, would you want your own daughters to take pride in doing the things that you do with your mouth?
Black Women, what are we doing with ourselves? We house the Spirit of God in our vessels. Is this what you're really okay with inviting the Spirit of The Most High into? Really?! Wow.
Dear Black Woman, please wise up and have better standards than this. Don't let the lyrics of the gutter rap songs and images of the urban videos lulled you to sleep. We are the Mothers of Civilization, queens of this earth, for crying out loud. Please don't let these half baked, over sexed, half stepping ass men reduce you to nothing more than a suction cup and toilet for semen. We're better than this.
