Slippery People ! (Saviour or Saboteur)

 Sabotage is a deliberate action aimed at weakening another entity through subversion, obstruction, disruption, or destruction. One who engages in sabotage is a saboteur.

 The need of some folks to be the big fish in a small pond is why the waters in our communities are murky and stagnated! Fear and insecurity that one of us may somehow outshine the other has been especially detrimental to black folk everywhere on every level. Those insecurities are the very reason that we continue to be pimped as a people.

 "Now who is the pimp?", you say.  I am so glad that you asked the question!  Keep in mind that many of our  black politicians, preachers, and public figures have done all but put us on the corner in a short skirt and six inch heels!  The pimp comes in the form of anyone who rises, not from his own efforts, but from the oppression of others through the suppression of the truth. They cause and promote  destruction by their deliberate obstruction of the use of the gifts ,talents, and ideas of others.  Many times this behavior is for their benefit and their benifit alone. This sabotage has subverted the black community bringing untold devastation and disruption for decades!  Because of our  need to outshine and outdo one another borne of the fear that our brother just might get more or have more than us, we have become some savvy , yet sick saboteurs!  

 "How so, Redd?" , you say. Well , let's just look at what the so called "enlightened and educated" do first! As soon as we get a spoonful above a mouthful we put forth a bigger struggle and expend more energy to seperate ourselves from our people than we do to unite with them. Thus we rob our communities by taking what we have to offer elsewhere.  Sadder still is how we try to convince the world that we are better than where we come from versus bettering the places that made us who and what are! (Even Jesus himself sent some of the folks he saved to go back and help the folks where they came from !)

  If that isn't enough there are those among us , in the throes of thier inferiority complexes, put forth even more effort to make sure that they do everything they can to hinder , hurt , and harass to ensure that NOTHING good comes of the sincerest efforts of those who choose to better their lot in life !

 Black folks are a greater asset to our so called  oppressor than we are to ourselves!  Now, lets look at the greatest by product of cowardice and sabotage in our community ,shall we? In our efforts to outshine and outdo one we actually  promote the agenda of those who only have to sit back and watch us do the work of OPRESSION while they reap the benefits! My , how smug, smart, and STUPID are we with our PROUD "PO" asses! ( Yeah, I said PO, because we ain't got no money for real. But that's another lesson for another day!)

 These behaviors stem from a sickness of the soul and are the catalyst for the fires of mistrust and suspicion raging within us !  Suspicions , mistrust , and competition ( for the wrong reasons)compel us to look at each other in fear and say, " Who are you and what are you to me?" Are you my saviour or saboteur?  Are you one of those slippery people. Only you know the answer.
